The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for your consideration. This well preserved muscle car was ordered new by Bay City Chrysler Plymouth where it was equipped with a dealer-installed Vortec Supercharger. The car remained in a collection where it accumulated just 853 miles between 2008 and 2020. The current owner acquired the car in 2020 and has enjoyed it sparingly for nice weather cruises and car shows where it currently shows 5409 miles on the odometer. Powering this Dodge is a 6.1L Hemi that has been upgraded with a Vortec supercharged and sends the power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to the low mileage and care shown from previous owners the Hemi Orange exterior paint remains in excellent condition. The interior features a dark slate gray leather and alcantara power seats which feature contrasting orange stitching. Before Dodge offered the Hellcat, these dealer-installed superchargers were the closest thing you could get and this particular example represents an extremely well preserved example. Drive this one out of the showroom or have us assist you with shipping this vehicle anywhere in the United States!
Introduced in fall 1969 for the 1970 model year, the Challenger was one of two Chrysler E-body cars, the other being the slightly smaller Plymouth Barracuda. Positioned to compete against the Mercury Cougar and Pontiac Firebird in the upper end of the pony car market segment. In late 2005, Dodge teased spy photos of the Dodge Challenger prototype on the internet and it was announced in November of 2005. The Dodge Challenger Concept was unveiled at the 2006 North American International Auto Show and was a preview for the 3rd generation Dodge Challenger that started its production in 2008.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing and/or $199 documentation fees.
