One owner from 1998-2021. He bought it as a rolling shell and spent 10 years meticulously restoring it. It only has about 2,000 miles since finished. He enjoyed driving it to car shows.
EXTERIOR: They started with a bare shell and restored it to show quality. The body is excellent. It is laser straight and the gaps are excellent. The door handles were shaved for a clean custom look. Painted with PPG paint, we have extra paint and the codes. Very smooth and glossy finish. High quality ghost flames by a reputable atrist. Upfront the grill, bumper, trim looks new. The SS hood louvers and marker lights and look new. The trim around the window frames were chromed. In back the trim, bumper and SS gas cap look like new. Weatherstrips were replaced. The rally wheels are chrome plated, wider in back with a taller tire for a great stance. The glass is tinted.
INTERIOR: It has high back bucket seats. The seats and door panels are upholstered in vinyl with cloth inserts. On the floor the carpet looks new and there’s a custom made center console with a Hurst ratchet shifter. It has racing belts on the front seats. Overhead is a tight fitting new headliner. The visors and mirror look real nice, it has a working dome light. In front of me is a 3 spoke deluxe wheel on a tilt column. It has a rare functional factory tachometer. It also had a Monster tachometer with shift light and matching gauge cluster down below the dash. The lenses, heater controls, dash pad look very nice. The big tach is removable, no holes drilled in the dash pad. There is a CD stereo.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Built 402 big block. On top is an Edelbrock intake with the dual feed Holley carb that has an electric choke and an MSD ignition system. It also has long tube headers. It has a performance cam so there is an electric pump and vacuum reservoir. Features include power steering and power brakes. The radiator has an engine fan, a shroud, electric pusher fan, polished overflow bottle and a transmission cooler. The heater box and heater core were replaced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal trunk compartment neatly sprayed with a gray spatter finish. It has a fuel cell with foam insert. There is a stainless box with the vacuum pump inside. The trunk lid and jamb are painted slick like the car. New weatherstrip. It also includes a car cover.
UNDERSIDE: The front end was completely rebuilt including bushings, shocks, ball joints and steering components. There are welded in frame rails to tie the front to the back. In back it has relocated lower shock mounts, and traction bars. The brake system was completely rebuilt, it has disc in front. It has a fat exhaust with stainless mufflers. Looking up at the motor it’s fresh Chevy orange with a high torque starter and chrome flywheel cover. The Turbo 400 automatic was rebuilt with upgrades. It was rollerized, has 3500 stall, shift kit and electronic kick down. The drive shaft was rebuilt and balanced. In back is a 4.11 12 bolt posi. The floors look rock solid.
This is a well built car. The owner has a lot of pride in what he has done. He stressed to me how he took his time and didn’t do anything hokey. It’s fun to drive, that big block really rumbles!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car’s condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
