This was a ground breaking car in 1966 with many unique features. It was futuristic and highly engineered. The first American front wheel drive in about 30 years. Unique style in and out and a motor under the hood that offered an abundance of power.

This one is an excellent example. Only 69,620 miles. It is obvious it has always been well cared for. Great list of features and the color is outstanding.

EXTERIOR: It’s only as tall as a Corvair, the hood is long and the deck is short. This is a big car that could almost be considered a sports car. The body is pristine. It fits right, it is arrow straight with no rust or damage. Repainted 1 time in it’s beautiful original Dubbonet color. It is polished to a smooth high gloss finish. Hidden pop up headlights, no vinyl top and a sloped trunk make it look sleak. The bumpers were rechromed, the back bumper is notched out for the exhaust. Very nice original trim, grill and taillights. Optional cornering lights. Big shiny chrome wheels on like new radial tires.

INTERIOR: Very cool interior, same plum color as the outside. Unique designed dash in mint shape. It has a barrel roll speedometer, upgraded quartz movement in the clock, rare signal seeking AM-FM radio and climate control. It also has a rare tilt and telescopic wheel. The ashtrays are as big as a glove box in todays cars. Lighters and ashtrays are clean. The glovebox light works, it has original owners manual and protect-o-plate. Down on the floor is the original carpet with sewn in mat. Original door panels are very good with a door handle in the back for the rear passengers. Headliner and visors are excellent. It has a strato seat with bucket backs and bench bottom with armrest. Original upholstery is very nice. It has a complete set of plum color seat belts.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Big 425 makes an impressive 385 hp and 475 lbs of torque. It looks like it’s a very well maintained motor compartment. The motor is spotless, looks like it’s been apart. It still has the dual snorkel air cleaner and original valve covers. It features factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. The squirters are hooked up, wires are run neatly, new hood insulation pad. Very clean and proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is lined with gray felt. It has a matching chrome wheel spare. The complete jack assembly is all mounted properly including the lug wrench. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are glossy paint. The weather strip looks new.

UNDERSIDE: Whats different? It’s a front wheel drive! There is no driveshaft so the floor is flat. It is very clean original. The floors are rock solid, never even been spray painted over. It still has original spiral shocks. The components are clean. Big finned drum brakes, e-brake is hooked up. Bottom of the motor is clean, not greasy. Rebuilt starter. Unique Hydra-Matic trans is the original. The 1966 tag is still riveted to the side of it. Dual exhaust goes into a transverse muffler and exits through the rear bumper.

I really like this car! The honest, unabused condition is impressive. Now that I’ve taken the time to learn a little more about these cars I really appreciate them. The features, body style and innovation really make this a special car. Love the colors too!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car’s condition in detail.
