Authentic Shelby Cobra 427 SC (CSX4060). This is an exceptional car and is the 50th continuation car produced by Shelby American – the 1st was CSX4011. I am the original owner and have all documentation, including the Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin (with Carrol Shelby’s original signature) and the original correspondence and promotion package from 1996. Original paint and tires with 4503 original miles. This car was built to the exact specs as the 1965 CSX3000 SC cars. The body is fiberglass (not aluminum), The motor is a factory 1965 cast iron Ford 427 FE with 428 crankshaft. Tons of internal upgrades that will be shared upon request. Transmission is a Ford, 4-speed top-loader with correct Lakewood scatter shield bellhousing. Single, 850 DP Holley carburetor with aluminum air plenum. Girling, quick change brakes (with brake coolers at all wheels), Correct Halibrand style (Trigo), pin drive wheels, Lucas electrical, Smiths gauges, even the correct 42 gallon aluminum fuel tank was included. Later CSX continuation cars have several changes that have departed from the originals and were not manufactured directly by Shelby American. If parked next to an original 1965 SC, you can’t tell which is a continuation. Clear title, registered in California as a 1965 Ford with original CSX4060 VIN from Shelby American.

Original MSO sheet (signed by Carroll Shelby) – not a replicated signature. Approximately 4,500 original miles. Original paint and tires.
Exterior: Fiberglass body. Underside smooth finished and painted aluminum color. Midnight blue without stripes. Side exhaust with aluminized coating. Driver side roll bar in chrome. Original 1965 style fender badging (Shelby American badging also comes with car). Quick jack pads, front and rear. Upgraded hardware utilized to make quick jacks functional. Lucas headlights and all electrical lighting and components. Aluminum Halibrand-style Trigo wheels in correct 6-pin configuration to factory sizes and offset. Stainless steel knockoffs with correct “Cobra Racing Venice, CA” casting and safety wire holes. Raydyot side mirror on driver’s side. Additional convex mirror mounted on driver’s side of windshield.
Interior: Black leather-wrapped dashboard and door interior. Black vinyl seats, as per original SC specs. Vinyl tonneau cover. Correct Smiths gauges with Lucas ammeter. Fuel level gauge in lieu of fuel pressure gauge. AC clutch and brake pedals (Shelby American pedals also come with car). Heater/defroster installed discretely with switches hidden behind dash and heater hoses plumbed to be out of view in engine room. Aluminum trunk (no carpet).
Engine: Original 1965 Ford 427 “center oiler” block with mild overbore to 4.250” (factory bore was 4.230”). 428 crankshaft polished to .010 under and externally balanced. Stoke is standard 3.98”. All rotating gear balanced. 452 CI total displacement. Aluminum Edelbrock Meduim-Riser heads, port matched to intake manifold. 2.19” intake valves and 1.73” exhaust valves. Upgraded valvetrain with roller rockers, hardened rocker shafts and additional end shaft support posts. Original Ford “Sidewinder”, aluminum intake manifold. Correct “puke” tank plumbed to engine and transmission, draining through clear hose to oil pan Original aluminum, 4-core Fluidine radiator with VIN# stamping Correct electric “pusher” fans are installed in front of radiator, additional electric fan installed behind to more efficiently pull air through the radiator. Estimated power: 550 hp

Two electric fuel pumps, plumbed in series inside trunk. Manual fuel pump, plumbed in series, on motor. 42 gallon fuel tank, fabricated to original specifications, including the drain plug type and bead roll size. LeMans style flip top fuel filler cap.
